Tonight, Keith Olbermann said what has been on the minds of all of us who oppose the occupation of Iraq. He has articulated our distress at the betrayal of our trust by the leadership of the Democrats in Congress.  Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid; no matter how much lipstick you put on this pig, it is still a pig.

A Special Comment about the Democrats’ deal with President Bush to continue financing this unspeakable war in Iraqâ€â€and to do so on his terms:
For the president, and the majority leaders and candidates and rank-and-file Congressmen and Senators of either partyâ€â€there is only blame for this shameful, and bi-partisan, betrayal.
Few men or women elected in our historyâ€â€whether executive or legislative, state or nationalâ€â€have been sent into office with a mandate more obvious, nor instructions more clear:
Get us out of Iraq.

Our politics… is now about the answer to one briefly-worded question.
Who among us will stop this warâ€â€this War of Lies?
To he or she, fall the figurative keys to the nation.
To all the othersâ€â€presidents and majority leaders and candidates and rank-and-file Congressmen and Senators of either partyâ€â€there is only blame… for this shameful, and bi-partisan, betrayal.
Good night, and good luck.
