Last night the Garden Grove City Council conducted public interviews in a special meeting that was called to help fill the seat that Janet Nguyen vacated when she moved to the Board of Supervisors.
A dozen candidates applied and spoke during the special meeting. Some of the candidates have run for or served in public office previously, and others have never been in the council chambers before.
